Fall Wardrobe Staples

Fitted Cashmere Sweater

When it comes to styling a look that evokes autumnal bliss, there’s nothing like a fitted cashmere sweater.

With just a few fall-ready accessories, you can take your favorite cashmere sweater from day to night. Add a pair of cozy tights and some cute ankle booties for a casual fall afternoon look, then swap those out for some sky-high stilettos and throw on some statement earrings to create an outfit that will have you looking your best all night long.

Knitted Turtleneck Sweater

Knitted turtleneck sweaters are a staple in anyone’s fall wardrobe. They provide an easy, breezy way to stay warm and look stylish at the same time. Plus, knit is a fabric that lasts for years and years with proper care—so you won’t have to invest in new ones every season.

These days, the fit of your sweater is often just as important as the material it’s made of. That’s why we recommend investing in a fitted knitted sweater. A fitted sweater will accentuate your natural curves while providing the comfort that only this type of style and material can offer.

Velvet Top

Wearing a velvet top in fall is like drinking hot chocolate after playing in the snow—it’s just something everyone should do. Whether you’re looking for a soft and cozy long-sleeved velvet shirt to slip on underneath a denim jacket, or a velvet crop top to wear over a simple white t-shirt, there are so many ways to incorporate this look into your wardrobe.

Velvet can also be dressed up or down. Pair it with leather pants and a leather jacket for a soft rock-and-roll feeling, or try it with your favorite pair of dark wash jeans and pointed-toe heels for an evening look. The options are endless!

Timeless Trenchcoat

It’s that time again! The leaves have changed, the temperatures are dropping, and of course, it’s time to wear a timeless trenchcoat.

It’s no secret that falls fashion is all about layering—and that trenchcoat is the best possible material for a top layer. A trenchcoat adds an extra level of coziness and warmth to your outfit and it feels like you’re wearing a cloud. Not only does this material make any outfit look expensive and put together, but it’s also incredibly versatile—it can be casual or dressy depending on how you style it.

There are so many options when it comes to finding the perfect trenchcoat. You can go for a classic shirt or blouse with long sleeves, or you can try something new like a cropped tube top with short sleeves.

Classic Blazer

It’s that time of year again: the chilly months, when we get to break out our favorite fall pieces and start layering, layering, layering.

And while we love a good chunky chilly blazer sweater as much as our old fluffy overcoat, sometimes it’s nice to add more options to our wardrobe.

Classic Blazer is one of those overcoats that you nearly see as often as you should. It’s soft and luxurious, but not so precious that you can’t wear it without worrying about ruining it. And if you want to know how to wear a classic blazer in a way that isn’t over-the-top (but still totally trendy), try wearing it with an s

Leather Pants

Who says you can't wear leather pants in the fall? No one. And no one will once you break out your leather pants and show them how it's done. It might sound intimidating, but we've got some tips to help make sure you're rocking those leather pants all season long.

#1. You'll want to get a brand new pair of leather pants before you put them on for the first time, even if it does not fall yet. It's important to treat yourself right with a new pair of pants for every occasion. In fact, I bet a lot of people who have never worn leather pants before have never worn a brand new pair of leather pants before!

#2. Once you have your new pair of leather pants, make sure they fit correctly. Leather isn't like denim—you want a good fit that doesn't give too much or too little stretch so that you don't feel constricted or like the pants are going to rip off if you move too quickly. Also, remember that leather shrinks about 10% in size after washing, so make sure you try on the size that fits best before washing!

Leather pants are perfect for fall because they're warm, they keep you looking chic while still offering some flexibility in case the weather changes, and they'll keep your legs cozy when it gets cold out. There are so many ways to style them—with boots or flats, a blazer or a jacket—but no matter how you wear them, they'll always look amazing.
